In partnership with Virgin Australia, QMusic is proud to launch volume 7 of the HOME Indigenous music compilation series at this year’s BIGSOUND music festival in Brisbane on Wednesday September 7.
The Home CD has championed the cause of Indigenous music since its inception in 2009, promoting music from established indigenous artists and up and coming musicians from around Australia. This year will see the HOME playlist available to a broader global audience via the following Spotify playlist:
Since 2009, the Home project has featured an amazing array of artists, from national icons like Gurrumuland Kev Carmody, to young stars like The Medics, Thelma Plum, Robbie Miller, The Cold Water Band and East Journey.
Home Volume 7 contains songs from sixteen acts – the list is one of the most comprehensive diverse line-ups to date, with a wide range of genres and styles. Featured on the 2016 edition are Luke Daniel Peacock, Emily Wurramara, A.B. Original, Tia Gostelow, Birdz/Jimblah, Catherine Satour, King Social, and many more.
