Freshwater are 4 women, sisters Nardi, Jilda & Lucy Simpson of the Barwon & Namoi rivers of western NSW and best friend Kaleena Briggs of the mighty Murrumbidgee.

These women come together to sing traditional language stories as well as contemporary English ones – songs that tell of their own constant flow between the rivers and the cities.

Freshwater also perform newly written songs in their own languages, combining past, present and future and continuing age old traditions in modern times..
